Hemorrhoids can be divided into three grades. During grade 1, it is bleeding and painful, but the hemorrhoids will not come out. In grade 2, the hemorrhoids can come out, but usually go back on their own. During grade 3, hemorrhoids are prolapsed and need to be inserted by hand or may not be inserted back into the anus.
